Beawre announces its participation in the MatOnTime project, an innovative initiative aimed at revolutionizing material planning and distribution in the construction sector through the implementation of advanced technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, digital twins, and blockchain. This 12-month project has been launched as part of the AEI 2024 call by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism.
A Consortium Leading Digital Transformation
Launched in September 2024, the project is coordinated by the Associació Clúster de Materials Avançats de Catalunya (Clúster MAV) and involves the collaboration of Beawre, Celsa Group, Clúster GAIA, and Code Contract. This strategic alliance aims to tackle critical industry challenges, such as reducing delays, optimizing resources, and minimizing environmental impact—issues that directly affect the sector's competitiveness and sustainability.
Key Technological Solutions
MatOnTime integrates several technological innovations with the goal of transforming logistics and planning processes in construction:
Risk-based planning: Development of a predictive system that adjusts material deliveries based on delay risk, suggesting preventive and mitigative actions and supporting risk-aware planning to reduce delays, resource consumption and CO₂ emissions.
Digital twins: Virtual representations of administrative and operative processes that enable scenario simulations, bottleneck anticipation, and real-time operational optimization.
Blockchain and smart contracts: Ensuring traceability and data security across the entire supply chain.
Testing in Real-World Projects
The participation of Celsa Group ensures that the developed technologies will be tested in large-scale construction projects, a crucial step in validating their effectiveness in complex and demanding environments.
A New Era for the Construction Industry
"The ultimate goal is to provide advanced technological tools that reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and improve the competitiveness of companies in an increasingly digitalized environment," the consortium emphasizes. Additionally, this solution has the potential to mark a milestone in the digital transformation of the sector, reinforcing its role in the transition toward a more efficient and sustainable economy.
At Beawre, we are committed to developing solutions that foster innovation and sustainability in key industries. MatOnTime represents a significant step in our mission to integrate disruptive technologies into construction, driving its future forward.
